How To Pitch Brands - Ultimate System [Brand Deals and UGC]

In this article, we break down the ultimate 4-step system for pitching to brands that will help you land brand deals.

Dec 5, 2023

In this article, I’m going to be revolutionizing how you pitch to brands.

At Brands Meet Creators, we’ve helped hundreds of creators land UGC and brand deals…

And we’ve absolutely dialed in the most efficient system for pitching brands.

A lot of creators think they just need a template…

Or they just need to know what to say…

But if you really want to get this right and start landing deals…

You need a full on system…

In this post we’re going to be jumping into our Assembly Line Pitch process that will revolutionize the way you pitch to brands…

Follow these steps closely and you’ll be sure to land your next deal.

If you’re new here, I’m Mike, I’m the founder of Brands Meet Creators…

We have a completely free platform that connects creators with brands that are looking for UGC and creator partnerships.

Our platform is designed for long term partnerships and we have over 100 brands on the platform right now looking for creators.

And it's completely free.

But now, let’s dive into the Assembly Line pitching process:

Most creators when going to pitch… they’ll look for a brand, then they’ll try to find the right email to send it to… then they’ll do a bit of research and write the pitch…

This is not the most efficient way to do things…

Do you know how most creators batch create their content?

One day they’ll script everything… then one day film everything… one day edit everything…

We want to use this same concept for pitching…

Step 1: Finding Brands

So step 1 in the assembly line pitch process is finding brands.

I recommend just searching the Facebook Ads library and the TikTok ads library

This is the best place to find brands that have budget, are already running ads, and will be most receptive to hiring creators.

Create a Google Sheet and write down all of the brands that you see here that you want to pitch + a link to their ad, and maybe a small comment for reference.

Get hundreds of these.

Step 2: Finding the Decision-Maker

Use a tool like LeadLeaper to find the decision makers email address.

There are tons of free tools out there that you can cycle through.

Step 3: Write the Pitch

Now here’s where a lot of creators go wrong.

They write this crazy long pitch here and they’re trying to sell right off the bat.

The key here is to be short, to the point, and you’re just looking to get a response.

Things to include are:
  1. Why you’re reaching out and how you found them.

  2. How you can help them.

  3. Previous results and proof that you can help them.

  4. Call to action. I recommend this call to action being a request for more value… Can I send over some examples… can I send over some ad concepts etc…

You can find 5 done-for-you UGC pitch templates in our pitch template post. Now with this strategy, the response you send is going to be quite important…

By the way — if you’re liking this strategy, we have a whole 10 module program called our 7 Day UGC pitch challenge…

We’ve had over 300 students go through this and get incredible results…

Doesn’t matter if you’re new, a ton of experience, or based anywhere in the world…

For example we had a creator who was a bit newer, based in Nigeria who took the 7 day challenge and she sent me email updates along the way and even landed deals in her first week.

Depending on when you’re reading this, the 7 Day Pitch challenge might still be available as a free bonus for new academy members…

Check that out somewhere below this post…

Step 4: Response

The final step is the response.

We recommend using Loom.

Loom allows you to easily record and send videos as a link.

This will allow you to easily stand out and deliver a ton of free value to the brand and showcase your expertise.

With this Assembly Line Pitch process…

It’s about being efficient with your time so you can send a higher volume of emails.

We hear many creators say “pitching brands doesn’t work”, yet they reach out to 10 brands per month…

Try to do at least 10 or 20 of these daily.

And a quick reminder - we might be giving out our 7 day UGC pitch challenge as a free bonus right now depending on when you’re seeing this…

Go check that description below, and I’ll see you on the next post.
